Plastic coil binding provides a unique advantage over other book binding styles.
Plastic coil binding offers the advantage of enabling your book’s pages to lie flat – something that is ideal for easy page flipping or if your text encourages note-taking.
At Book1One, you will find our plastic coil is both durable and scratch resistant. You’ll never have a concern about pages coming loose – even after repeated use.
Plastic coil binding is an ideal book binding style for a number of different types of books. Examples include cookbooks; technical and instructional books; workbooks and manuals; children’s books; and gardening, hobby, and crafts books.

Preparing your plastic coil book
Book1One works exclusively with PDF files. You can convert your documents to PDFs using your own PDF converter either online or as a print driver on your own computer. When converting to PDF, please maintain the “highest resolution” and make sure your fonts are embedded.
Pages:
Because of the punching process, we suggest allowing at least a 1/2” margin on the binding edge of each page of your book and at least a 1/4” margin at the top, bottom, and outside edges of each page. This will place your page content in a more "centered" position.
If you have any critical content including backgrounds or images proceeding to the edge of your pages, you will want to include an ⅛'' bleed on all four edges of your pages so no critical content is cut during binding.
Cover:
When creating a cover for your plastic coil book, you can format it the same as your text pages. Unlike softcover books, there is no spine to be concerned with. Plastic coil books come in either white or black spiral coil, and use 100# cover stock, the same cover stock used in softcover book covers.
Available in any sizes:
Plastic coil book binding is available in any of these book sizes or in-between sizes in either portrait, landscape, or square orientation.
